How we build the roster
HempRoster lists businesses, not people. Every card shows where its information came from and when we last checked it.
Where the data comes from
- hempaware.com directory (51 companies): listings from the directory HempAware ran before HempRoster.
- Company submissions (18 companies): businesses that sent us their own listing.
- Public business listings (375 companies): hemp businesses found in public directories, trade show exhibitor lists and business profiles. We keep the business name, location, position and website only.
How we check it
Before a company goes on the roster we check that its website loads and is not parked or closed, and we look it up in public business listings. The date of the last check is on every card. We remove marijuana businesses, individuals and companies that appear to have closed.
License numbers appear only when a company claims its card and we confirm the license with the issuing agency. HempRoster is not a government website, and a listing is not a license or an endorsement.
Corrections and removals
If a listing about your company is wrong, or you want it removed, send a request from the Join page and choose "Correct or remove a listing", or email support@hempaware.com. We act on removal requests within five business days.
